Richard Leis
Richard Leis, Jr. is Operations Specialist for the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) at the University of Arizona campus in Tucson, Arizona. He is co-founder of two transhumanist clubs in Arizona and founded an affiliation of transhumanist and related local clubs. He founded and writes for the Frontier Channel, and hosted the RADIO Frontier Channel podcast.

Nick Bostrom Ph.D.
Nick Bostrom Ph.D. is Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy and Director of
the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University. He is a co-founder
of Humanity+ (WTA) and is a frequent spokesperson and commentator in the
media. He previously taught at Yale University. He has consulted briefly
for the Central Intelligence Agency (Washington, DC), and for the European
Commission and the European Group on Ethics (Brussels) and has served as an
expert advisor to the British House of Common's Science and Technology
Select Committee. He has a background in physics, computational
neuroscience, and mathematical logic as well as philosophy. His research
interests include ethics, foundations of probability theory, global
catastrophic risk, implications of future technology, and big picture
questions for humanity. He has published more than 150 papers and books.

James Hughes Ph.D.
James Hughes is a bioethicist and sociologist teaching and working at Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut. He serves as the Executive Director of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies and produces the IEET's syndicated weekly radio program and podcast Changesurfer Radio. He is the author of Citizen Cyborg: Why Democratic Societies Must Respond to the Redesigned Human of the Future. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, and a member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities and the Working Group on Ethics and Technology at Yale University. Dr. Hughes speaks on medical ethics, health care policy and future studies worldwide, and appears often radio and television.

Ben Goertzel
Ben Goertzel (goertzel.org) is founder and CEO of two computer science firms Novamente LLC (novamente.net) and Biomind LLC (biomind.com), and of the non-profit AGIRI (Artificial General Intelligence Research Institute). He has served as a university faculty in several departments of mathematics, computer science and cognitive science, in the US, Australia and New Zealand. He is author of two books focused on the future of technology and society Creating Internet Intelligence (Plenum, 2001) and The Path to Posthumanity (Academica, 2006). He serves as Director of Research for the Singularity Institute for AI.

Sonia Arrison
Sonia Arrison is a futurist and policy analyst who has studied the
impact of new technologies on society for the better part of a decade.
A Senior Fellow at the California-based Pacific Research Institute
and a columnist for TechNewsWorld, she is author of two previous books
(Western Visions and Digital Dialog) as well as numerous PRI studies
on technology issues. A frequent media contributor and guest, her
work has appeared in many publications including CBS MarketWatch, CNN,
Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
Often asked for advice on technology issues, Sonia has given testimony
and served as an expert witness for various government committees such
as the Congressional Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce and
the California Commission on Internet Political Practices. She is an
instructor for California's Command College and serves on the advisory
boards for the Acceleration Studies Foundation and the Lifeboat
Foundation. Her forthcoming book addresses the political, social, and individual

Patri Friedman attended HMC where he received a bachelor's degree in math, then Stanford University for an MS in Computer Science and Cardean University for an MBA. He worked for Google as a software engineer from 2004 to 2008, when he left to found TSI. Patri is an avid poker player, a prolific writer on political theory and philosophy, and an active participant in festivals such as Burning Man and Pennsic.
