MAPS
& ROUTES
http://www.langholmen.com/frdbeskreng.html
has map and directions.
An overall, zoomable stockholm map exists at:
http://www.stoinfo.se/sverige/kartor/innerstaden.html
(Långholmen in the long island to the middle left)
http://www.nada.kth.se/~asa/TransVision/sthlm.gif
I have added a detailled from the hotel map on how to get to the Hotel/conference
at : http://www.nada.kth.se/~asa/TransVision/langholmen.gif
(note that north is down, contrary to ordinary maps!)
General Directions
There are airport buses from Arlanda to Stockholm (costing 60:- SEK,
they go every ten minutes). Take one to Stockholm City. That brings you
to the central bus/train terminal.
From there the easiest way to get to the hotel is likely by subway. There
should be signs from Cityterminalen to T-centralen (the hub of the subway).
You should go to the Hornstull station (the red line, towards Norsborg,
Fruängen or Liljeholmen; see http://www.sl.se/~ficktid/karta/vinter/tunnelb.pdf
for a map of the subway system). Once there, follow Långholmsgatan towards
the Västerbron (a major landmark bridge going over Långholmen), but before
the big bridge take to the left (Högalidsgatan) and go over the small
bridge to Långholmen island. From there it is straight ahead.
Total time: around 35 minutes from Arlanda to Stockholm, around 5 minutes
to T-centralen, 8 minutes to Hornstull, around 10-15 minutes to walk to
the hotel. If you feel tired, maybe you could take a taxi from Cityterminalen
to Långholmen Hotel.
