Anders Sandberg M.Sc. computer science, mainly directed towards computational neuroscience
and human-computer interaction. Anders Sandberg is the chairman of
the Swedish Transhumanist Association, and has been an active transhumanist
since 1991, informing, organizing and debating both locally in Sweden
and internationally. Presentations: Which future do we want -- and why? What are the challenges, threats and possibilities of the next millennium, and how can we deal with them? The rapid development of technology and society is forcing a reevaluation of many traditional ideas and causing avalanches of unexpected changes. This can be viewed both as threatening and liberating, but most of all unpredictable. In addition, it is not clear on what basis to strive towards one or more outcomes. Despite this uncertainty, at least some answers may be developing. Intelligence Amplification - what is possible today and tomorrow? How much can our effective intelligence be increased using tools
available today, and what tools will become available in the near future?
Developments in neuropsychology, human-computer interaction and information
management are adding new possibilities to traditional mental techniques
today and suggesting fruitful new synergies. |
